East Newport Cycle Speedway Club take to the cricket pitch this coming Sunday 7th June 1pm when they take on Newport Sports Association Football team, which is sponsored by landlord of the NSA Mr Paul Morris.
 
Mr Morris said "We tried to set up a game last season but due to one thing or another were unable to, and I would like to thank Bearo (Gilbert) from the East Newport Club in helping set up this match. Considering they race at Underwood they always come back to the NSA to have a drink and have always supported our Club very very well, so thank you East Newport for your continued support."
 
After the cricket match there will be a BBQ and we are sure there'll be talk of taking them on in a Cycle Speedway match on the East End Polo.
