East Newport Cycle Speedway recorded their first South West Division 1 away win of the season at Southampton last weekend 88-91.

A spokesman from the Club commented "not many would have given us a chance in this difficult away fixture and considering we had four u15 year olds in the side, we pulled off a great result for the Welsh side. Even though this was a great all round team performance first year rider Jack Turner turned in man of the match performance scoring 13+1."

Then it was the turn of the Conference side and even though this division has already been won by Poole the East Enders are still hoping to finish in the top 3. Once again all the riders put in a great team performance to run out comfortable winners 65-85.
