The first of six indoor matches saw the 3-team format used to full effect with some very close racing.

An exclusion for Neil, crossing his lane, left Josh to eventually settle for a hard fought third in the first heat.  Unfortunately, the Ginger Hob Nobs were now having to play catch-up and never really got back into their stride.  Gilbert`s exclusion in heat 6 left Twitchers, team mate, Rob power to a win and just keep them in front of the Frame Benders.

Everything was to be decided in the last two heats with the Twitchers requiring at least 9pts to draw with the Frame Benders, who had finished racing on 42pts.

A sensible team ride by the pairing of Rob and Gilbert saw a 5-5 draw against the Ginger Hob Nobs, leaving Aaron and Colin to compete in the final heat against the speed of Louis and determination of Adam.  A tactical ride saw the Twitchers take the much needed draw and win the first match by just one point.
