South West Division one outfit East Newport Cycle Speedway recorded their fourth home victory of the season on Sunday 12th July against Filton 94-84.
The only down point in the fixture was the match ban of Filton rider Paul Gibbs for swearing at the referee after being excluded for a racing incident in heat 12.
All but one of the East End riders recorded race wins, and this fine victory pushed the side up into the top 3 of the league.
Man Of The Match veteran Mike Rice was in fine form, he was backed up very well by all of the team but in particular young riders Ryan Lewis and Aaron Hughes.
