Louis Harvey creates history

On Saturday 28th June 2008 Louis Harvey made club history by becoming the first Eastender to make the British Final when he proudly donned the official city of Newport black and amber colours and done us proud by performing well in the Under 13's.
Louis was the only Welsh rider to make the final at Newports track and his final tally of 13 points was good enough to raise a few eyebrows in the crowds for them to realise that we have a talent and a future british champion in the making.
Louis was also the only rider to pass the eventual winner, Matt Mildon, by making a terrific pass only for the Dorset rider to cross the white line and bring our lad down. The referee made a poor decision to rerun with all four riders gifting the title to the Weymouth rider.
Louis was not too downbeat though and will bounce back next year to become a serious title contender. Our thanks go to the Exeter club for sharing in a day of fun.
