East Newport Cycle Speedway Club traveled to this years South West Division One Champions Horspath on Saturday 17th October.
 
First up was the division one encounter and the East Enders was always going to be up against it with the team from Oxford, resulting in a fine display from the home side winning 99-79.
 
Once again the team gave a good account of themselves with a man of the match performance from Aaron Hughes who was backed up very well by Louis Harvey.

Next up was  Conference league action, and even though this looked an easy win for the young East Newport team 58-89 doesn't really reflect how close the racing was. Louis Harvey, Jack Turner and Aaron Hughes went unbeaten, with solid displays from Dan Bock 8+2, Earl Broomfield 12, Ryan Lewis 11, Josh Davis 6 which was restricted by an exclusion for excessive force.
