Today's second match in the Newport indoor series saw another battle between the three teams. Unfortunately the Frame Benders had to do without the speed of Ryan Lewis or the experience of Nigel Clarke.  This was to cause problems for the Frame Benders but Dan Bock and Ryan Hughes again excelled with their points scoring.

Heat three saw one of the best undertakes many have had the pleasure to view.  The well executed move by Dan Bock on Colin Wildy, showed just how much confidence Dan has gained.

Heat five had to be rerun as Mike Rice got his first taste of the wooden floor with a clash and tumble that caused many a tut in the pits.  The referee`s decision to rerun with all four riders was not a popular choice but benefited the Twitchers greatly!  Heat six was run first to give Mike time to repair his new bike.

At the half-way mark all teams still had a chance of winning but the overall team strength, on the day, of the Twitchers and Ginger Hob Nobs was to prove too much for the Frame Benders.

Heat seven saw Sean Bennett block opposition rider, Rob Absalom and hold off a hard charge from Gilbert Davis, on the last turn.  This fine ride took essential points away from the Twitchers. Experienced Veteran, Gilbert Davis was quoted as saying that the moves by young Sean showed how well he has adapted to his new frame.

Heat ten saw Aaron Hughes hold off Mike Rice and Neil Power to get a 5-5 draw.  This was the last ride for the Ginger Hob Nobs who finished on 42 points and meant that the Twitchers needed to score 12 points in the last two races to win.

Heat eleven finished with an outstanding ride from Gilbert Davis and Rob Absalom taking the maximum seven points.  The Twitchers now needed a draw in the last race to win the match.

Again Aaron Hughes and Colin Wildy rode as a team and got the draw to beat the Ginger Hob Nobs by one point.
